We know getting certified and making sure you have all your requirements can be daunting. We have put together some resources and links to help you.

Professional Development

LCEA and our affiliates, FEA, AFT, and NEA, provide free PD to both members and nonmembers. Our members receive more opportunities and even stipends up to $1500 for certain PD. We also connect educators with information about PD from other institutions.

FYRE (New Educators)

LCEA FYRE is our local committee of the state-wide Florida's Young Remarkable Educators! We are young activists, new educators, and emerging leaders advocating for our teachers and students! This group consist of teachers from all walks of life. FYRE is a great way to get involved and meet likeminded professionals.

LCEA Mentoring Program

Our goal is to create a network of support for Early Career Educators or anyone that would like support. If you are a veteran educator, but just new to this district, we are here to support you. Anytime an educator makes a change, even if it is as "small" as a change of field or school worksite, we are here to help.

FYRE Cadre Application

Support Saturdays

One Saturday a month the LCEA office is open to provide mentoring and support. Feel free to come and just chat with us. Enjoy a donut and coffee too. We are here to provide any additional support you may need, hear your concerns, and answer any questions. This is open to ALL Lake County Educators, regardless of membership status.
