LCEA is excited to begin a new Cadre of Florida’s Young Remarkable Educators (FYRE) for the school year.
FYRE is a great way to build activism, network and develop lifelong union relationships. If you would like to apply and attend the FEA Summer Academy in Orlando, please click the link below to complete the LCEA application.

We know getting certified and making sure you have all your requirements can be daunting. We have put together some resources and links to help you.
LCEA and our affiliates, FEA, AFT, and NEA, provide free PD to both members and nonmembers. Our members receive more opportunities and even stipends up to $1500 for certain PD. We also connect educators with information about PD from other institutions.
LCEA FYRE is our local committee of the state-wide Florida's Young Remarkable Educators! Young activists, new educators, and emerging leaders advocating for our teachers and students! FYRE is a great way to get involved and meet likeminded professionals.
Our goal is to create a network of support for Early Career Educators or anyone that would like support. If you are a veteran educator, but just new to this district, we are here to support you. Anytime an educator makes a change, we are here to help.

LCEA FYRE is sponsoring our 2024 - 2025 New Educator Social at Bru Tap House in Tavares, FL.
This is an opportunity for all Lake County educators looking for some social time, support, and to build relationships with other LCS teachers.
This is open to ALL Lake County School instructional staff. You do not have to be a member to attend.
