Member Support
Called to a meeting with your supervisor?
Feel uncomfortable about a situation that happened at school?
1
Contact your elected Rep/Worksite Leader immediately. Do not sign anything or write any statements. Do not meet without asking for representation.
2
Your Worksite Leader will communicate with YOU and the LCEA Leadership regarding the situation. They will help support you in determining the next steps.
3
Matters requiring intensive support will be referred to the LCEA Office for appropriate representation.
A LCEA Building Representative’s primary responsibility is to advocate for, organize and protect members’ collective bargaining rights by resolving workplace issues and concerns.
This is done by answering questions and addressing concerns, filing grievances and representing members at arbitrations, legislative board meetings and administrative hearings.
All LCEA members are invited to join our committees. LCEA committees drive the work of our union.
